Are you starting a Home business and finding it difficult to get your website noticed? You are absolutely not alone. With so many people either starting out or completely experienced with online marketing and SEO, a beginner can easily feel completely alone and like plankton in a sea full of whales with big budgets. So let’s help each other out and don’t let those whales eat you up.
- Find all the free or very reasonable advertising you can. This is so easy. Just to name a couple, there is www.freeadvertisingexchange.com and www.adlandpro.com. You can post ads for free and they will be read. Do a search for free advertising and you will find so many places where you can post an ad and create backlinks to your site. Backlinks are all the different places where your website can be found and you want as many of them as possible.
- Write articles. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of doing this. Writing articles for the internet is not at all the same thing that we learned in high school. It’s easier because you want to be succinct, not too wordy and generally just make your point. When you write an article and post it, your name and website is out there (because you advertise it in a resource box at the end or your article) and the search engines will pick up your new content. It’s all about SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
- Read other people’s blogs. You can get so many great ideas to write about reading other blogs and articles. You must never plagiarize, but you can read a post that will give you a great idea. You can read several blogs and articles and incorporate those ideas into an interesting piece that is all your own.
- Utilize traffic exchanges. These are websites that are free and you can post an ad of your own and earn traffic credits by reading other ads. This can be an awesome way to see what programs are out there and let people know about your program. Some of the better programs are I Love Hits and Traffic Swarm, but there are so many more.
These are 4 essentially free steps to help gain traffic to your home-based business. You will find more as you become better acquainted with all the aspects of internet marketing.
