Yep it happened. Karl Green had to close down RIOY. It fell like a house of cards.
It was such a good program in so many ways and he was able to pay people for months. The problem was that he was largely invested in a very profitable private company that was recently sold and while in transition he was not able to withdraw funds and thus would not be able to pay people.
I think he did not see a way out. The monthly payments were really the draw and he had to shut it down so that he will be able to pay people in a few months. Everyone will get their investments back over time.
He is no Bernie Madoff though. Karl did the stand up thing and sent an email to everyone and is in the process of calling people to assess each individual situation. There was nothing else he could do.
At least with RIOY he had a good idea with hooking up with LHN and Maxegen. They are great health and wellness programs with the best payplans in the business. They are really worth checking out. You can learn more about Liberty Health Network here. Learn more about Maxegen and its matrix here.
I’m very sorry to see RIOY go because I had a lot of luck with this program. I’ve seen a nice profit for awhile but you have to move on. So sorry…….

I am totally fascinated with everything I have been reading about the arrest of Bernie Madoff. It has just been such a devasting string of events from the NY lawyer who scammed people out of millions, to the senator who was taking bribes to see Obama’s seat in the senate to Bernie Maddof scamming people out of potentially $50 billion.
I found a poem that will hopefully lighten the moment on someone’s blog. It is brilliant!

Back in January of this year I was named one of the top 25 women bloggers to watch in 2008 by Heidi Richardson, the founder of WECAI (Women’s Ecommerce Association International). I was number 5 and I had only been blogging since the end of August of 2007. I was more than flattered and it really gave me some major inspiration to really work this business and write to tell people about my experiences in business and in life.
A lot has happened since then. Before I go on though I have to say that though I love to write I really can only do it when I’m inspired. I wrote a post a few weeks ago that I am having a very difficult time finding my inspiration but I know that will pass in time. I’m giving myself time.
Besides the passing of my mother and hero, a lot has changed with my internet home business. I have learned so much about marketing and have been in profit for a long time. Thankfully, I have made some great connections in business with people who are very successful and have helped me along the way. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I’ve learned about passive income programs which I may write a post about very soon. Some of these programs, along with my primary businesses are allowing me to quit my job in less than 2 weeks. It’s been an amazing journey.
The biggest changes though this year have been in my soul. I’ve learned more this year than any time in my life about people who matter and people who don’t. People who really care about you and people who pretend for their own reasons. People who have class from deep down in their hearts and souls and people who are able to pretend for their own benefit.
This does not make me sad. It has empowered me because I know more than ever what to look for in any human being. It gives me strength.
Now I look at my mom’s example and goodness for strength and the way to conduct myself in my own life. Now that is real inspiration. Maybe I can get back to what I should be doing.
I think this is going to be a very good year. Thank you Heidi for acknowledging my work and most importantly thank you mom for inspiring me.

There is always an area at the end of a post where you can comment on that specific post. It’s a good idea to post on blogs that are related to your niche but in the end it is not that important. What is important is to have your URL out there where you are adding up your backlinks.
Free and targeted traffic is ideal for internet marketers. One does not have to pay to be a sponsored ad. By creating more and more backlinks, you are creating more ways for the search engines to find you. If they are finding you then so are the people who are looking for exactly what you are selling. If you are new to a forum, ease your way in by introducing yourself and asking an intelligent question. You may be surprised by the number of insightful responses and maybe even become addicted to learning this way as I have. There is a great chance that an expert will read your post and respond with some insider help that is absolutely priceless. This happens often!
If you are becoming addicted and on the forum maybe even too much, then you know you are on your way to becoming quite a knowledge marketer and business person. I go up, I go down, I have highs and I have lows. So what, so does everyone else. Working in a home business while you are still working in a traditional business can make the roller coaster of productivity even more intense.
I have to keep my day job until I am fully able to work from home and I’m realistically giving myself a goal of 3 to 5 years. Now how to keep the roll going?
When I first contemplated starting a home business in August of 2007, I really knew nothing about marketing, blogging, websites, social bookmarking, etc. I know much more now because I spent many hours a day visiting forums, reading ebooks, talking to people, etc.
I kept up the pace with writing articles, blogging regularly, fixing up my website and more.
Then I started to slow down within the past few months. It’s not that I haven’t found successes and in fact its nearly the opposite but its been so difficult to get that momentum going again.
So how do you get re-inspired?
- Make a list of what you need to do over a period of time, then split it up into smaller more doable time frames.
- Read a motivational book or two to remind you of how exciting the prospect of owning your own business can be.
- Visit forums and read posts written by marketing experts. They can give you great ideas.
- Write down your actual goals and post them where you can see them regularly.
- Talk to someone else in the business who is a good listener and at the same time can be inspirational as well.
Doing just a few of these things or parts of these things can get the creative juices flowing and more importantly get you back into your game.
Now go get re-inspired!
